Run a small grounds maintenance round in South Wales, six lads on the team. Bought ten of these to replace the dealer heads we kept burning through. Reload is under 15 seconds, even when we're flat out in July. Saved us proper money this season.
What buyers are saying
Real feedback from UK gardeners and landscapers running TrimCore on a mix of Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo, Honda and other machines.
Honestly didn't think a reload could be this quick. Used to spend half my Sunday afternoon faffing with the old Stihl head, springs everywhere, line tangled up. Cut a length, thread it through, twist, done. About 15 seconds. Wish I'd known about these years ago lol.
Got this for my husband's Husqvarna. He's been moaning about reloading the old head for years. Watched him do this one in about 12 seconds first try. He's actually impressed, which never happens.
Was sceptical because the price seemed too good. Fitted my Echo SRM 225 with the M10 adapter, no issues. Reload genuinely takes 15 seconds, I timed it. Old head used to take me a good half hour minimum, especially when the spring went.
Use mine on the smallholding here in Cornwall, plenty of wind and salt to test it. Three months in, still feeding line on the first tap and the body looks the same as the day I unboxed it. Reload is properly fast too, whole job done before the kettle boils.
Does what it says on the tin. Fits my Stiga without any messing about, reload is quick. Knocking off a star only because the line that comes with it ran out after a week of heavy use, but the head itself is holding up well, no cracks or warping yet.
Had a different cheap head last summer that I gave up on after a fortnight, the line kept jamming and the casing cracked. This one I've been using since April with no issues. Reload is night and day compared to the old one I had from Screwfix.
Cleared the back of the allotment this weekend, brambles and dock leaves halfway up to the shed. Head took a few knocks against the fence posts and didn't crack. When the line wore down I had it reloaded and back at it inside a minute. Used to be a 20 minute job at least.
Run mine on a Honda brushcutter for the orchard edges. Reload is dead simple, no tools, no springs flying off into the grass like the previous one. Done a full summer of heavy work on it now and the body has barely a scuff. Wish I'd bought this two seasons ago.
Cracking bit of kit for the money. Old Ryobi head used to take me half an hour to thread, this one's done in 15 seconds flat. Used it round a stony border too and it shrugged off the impacts no problem. Bought a second one for the spare strimmer.
Reload is exactly as quick as they say once you get the hang of it. First go took me a minute because I didn't quite have the line lined up right, but every time since has been under 15 seconds. Three months of use through the garden and round the patio, still going strong. Solid kit.
